There was an article on Wired News regarding FactCheck.org, a supposedly non-partisan information service. I read a couple articles on there, one regarding false ads by MoveOn.org regarding Bush's stance on the so-called assault weapon ban, and one regarding the Swift Boat Veterans' ad regarding Kerry's Senate testimony about war crimes in Vietnam, and they do indeed seem to not omit salient facts like some less scrupulous news sources. It seems like much of the debunking is done on DNC-sponsored ads (are those simply the ads that need the most debunking...?), but there're also articles shooting down GOP-sponsored ads. Personally, I'd like to see an impartial fact summary of Bush's drug use.
The site is definitely worth a look. The American public has needed something like this for a long while, and this is just in time for election season.
